Ответ : * * Theme 1 : A Single Language for the Whole Planet * *

In an increasingly interconnected world, the idea of a single universal language is a topic that has garnered both support and opposition.

The notion of a single language for the entire planet has its merits, with proponents advocating for global unity, ease of communication, and economic advantages.

Advocates of a universal language argue that it would foster greater global unity.

Language barriers often lead to misunderstandings and conflicts between nations and cultures.

A common language could facilitate cross - cultural understanding and promote a sense of global community.

Furthermore, a single global language could simplify communication.

The ability to converse with people from diverse linguistic backgrounds without the need for translation could expedite international diplomacy, trade, and cooperation.

This would undoubtedly enhance efficiency in various fields, including business and diplomacy.

On the contrary, there are significant arguments against the idea of a single global language.

The diversity of languages is a rich tapestry of human culture, and the loss of linguistic diversity might lead to a less vibrant and culturally homogeneous world.

Preserving linguistic diversity is a way of preserving unique identities and traditions.

Moreover, mandating a single language for the entire planet could be seen as a form of cultural imperialism.

It may suppress local languages and marginalize those who do not speak the chosen global language.

This raises ethical and equity concerns.

In conclusion, the idea of a single language for the whole planet is a complex and contentious issue.

While proponents argue for greater global unity and efficiency, opponents emphasize the value of linguistic diversity and cultural preservation.

Ultimately, it's important to strike a balance between the advantages of global communication and the preservation of local languages and cultures.

* * Theme 2 : All School Subjects Are Equally Important * *

The debate over whether all school subjects are equally important has been a long - standing one.

While some argue that every subject in the curriculum holds equal significance, others assert that certain subjects are more vital than others.

Those who advocate for the equal importance of all school subjects believe that a well - rounded education provides students with a broad skill set.

This comprehensive approach ensures that students have a diverse knowledge base and can adapt to various challenges in life.

They argue that subjects like mathematics, literature, and science all contribute to a student's overall development.

Conversely, some argue that not all school subjects are equally important.

They contend that subjects such as mathematics and science are fundamental, as they provide essential problem - solving and analytical skills.

These skills are often considered more practical and directly applicable to real - world situations, making them of greater importance.

On the other hand, while artistic and creative subjects, such as music and art, are undoubtedly valuable for personal expression and creativity, they might not be as critical for addressing societal challenges and job market demands.

In conclusion, the question of whether all school subjects are equally important is subjective and depends on one's perspective.

A balanced curriculum that combines a variety of subjects is often considered the most effective approach to education, as it equips students with both practical and creative skills, making them well - prepared for the diverse challenges of the future.

Watching television is a major activity that influence on children and adolescents.

Children in the United states average watch and three to four hours a day.

By the time of high school graduation, they will have spent more time watching television than they have in the classroom.

Children who watch a lot of television are likely to : have lower grades in school, read fewer books, exercise less, be overweight.

Time spent watching television takes away from important activities such as reading, school work, playing, exercise, family interaction, and social development.

Children also learn information from television that may be inappropriate or incorrect.

They often cannot tell the difference between the fantasies presented on television and reality.

They are influenced by the thousands of commercials seen each year, many of which are for alcohol, junk foods, and toys.

Parents can help by doing the following : don’t allow children to watch long blocks of TV, but help them select individual programs.

Choose shows that meet the developmental needs of your child.

Children’s shows on public TV are appropriate.

Set certain periods when the television will be off.

Study times are for learning, not for sitting in front of the TV.

Make TV viewing an active process for child and parents!

Срочно помогите Mellish school is in theslumsof Brooklyn for pupils between twelve and fifteen years of age.

There are about 1500 pupils there, and 90 teachers.

It’s a problem school, perhaps one of the most difficult schools in America.

The white teachers can’t walk to the school because they may be attacked.

They all drive to school, and their cars have speciallocks.

There’s always a black policeman at the door of the school.

He has a radio contact with the schoolguards.

Pupils must have a writtenpermissionfrom the teacher if they want to go to the toilet.

There’s a guard outside the washroom.

Only one child can go into the washroom at a time, and he can’t stay there long.

The children who live in that district go to that school.

They are all black children.

However, why do the teachers work there?

“It’s very hard of course, ” says Jane Flinch, a forty - five - year - old teacher.

Most children have problems at home.

Some of them are beaten by their parents.

Some of them sleep at the lessons because they had to work at night.

Some of the children get sick at the lessons because they didn’t have breakfast or even a meal for a day or two.

It’s the love of the job that keeps the teachers in that school.

They teach and do social work.

They feel that they are doing something good for the children who need help.

“There’s also the problem of violence, ” says one of the teachers.

“Sometimes when I go into a class, I can feel that some of the children are like a dynamite.

However, I feel quite safe.

I am sure that other pupils will help me.

” There is very little money for teaching in that school.

There is no money to buy food for the children.

The principal of the school has been there for many years.

A lot of his happy optimism has gone.

“No, I’m not optimistic about the future.

Look around you, ” he says and points out of the window at the high wall round the school.

”It’s not a very bright sight : buildings have holes instead of the windows, shops are closed, groups of people are sitting on the steps of the houses.

They have nowhere to go and nothing to do.

“We need money, ” he says, “money is the only way to help this school and these people, and, of course, jobs for the people.
