I`d like to tell you about modern technologies and their influence on our life.
In nowadays, many various gadgets appear and opinions of different people about them are questionable.
Some suppose that sophisticated gadgets are really useful and necessary, while others find them absolutely awful as they influence people badly.
As for me, I think new technology is very useful ; I like the electronics and I`m an adherent of the various gadgets.
I can`t imagine my life without mobile phone, televisions, computer and different electronic gadgets.
I spend too much time using the computer.
I read books there, search on the Internet, type text, watch films and listen to music.
I also find mobile phone is very useful because it helps me to call with my friends in any time.
I`m absolutely sure of that the various devices make our lives easier and more interesting.

These devices have become an important part of our life.

To stay up - to - date people keep buying newer items.
Soon our houses and work places will look like electronic stores.
Technology is all around us.
First of all, we need it for work.
All modern offices are equipped with computers, scanners, printers, and other useful machines.
One of the most important devices today is the wi - fi modem as it provides Internet.
Secondly, technologies surround us at home, in cars and everywhere.
It includes TVs, radios, refrigerators, vacuum - cleaners, washing machines, CD - players, e - books, cameras and else.
Perhaps, the most important thing about technological progress is that it allows us to do many things which would be impossible without it.
For example, we can communicate with friends from other countries with the help of computers.
We can even see them and have a live conversation.
There are many people who are against new technologies.
In my opinion, technological progress has made our lives more interesting and bright.
Thanks to computers and Internet I find more educational resources.
Such electronic items as vacuum - cleaner, washing machine, microwave, dish washer, blender and some others have made my mum’s life easier.
So I’m sure that new technologies are for good.
In conclusion, I’d like to say, that technological progress continues and it moves rather fast.
Thus, I think that soon we will live in ‘smart’ houses with robots doing all housework instead of us.

If you typed a text on the typewriter and made a mistake you had to type the whole page again.
Making several copies of the same document used to be a difficult job too.
But now it‘s quite different.
Correcting mistakes is easy.
Computer also helps us to buy goods, find information, book tickets, make presentations and annual reports, and make difficult calculations.
Time is saved for leisure.
Leisure time is also influenced by computer and other periphery devices.
You no longer go to the music shops – many things are available on the internet.
You needn‘t write letters to your relatives or friends – you can send an e - mail.
And your photo albums are on computer too.
Computer games are probably also a part of your free time.
They became more and more realistic and complicated, and for many people it becomes impossible to tear themselves away.
This means that electronic devices, such as computer and TV set are used mostly for entertainment and consume most of the time that could be spent on work, going for a walk and sleeping.
Man becomes a slave of devices which were designed to make him stronger.
Is there a way out?
In fact, there is, but many people don`t know it and are still slaves.
The best decision is not to give these equipments place in your heart.
They should do their work.
And when you have a rest, prefer real communication to virtual one and living an active life to watching films about crime.
Then electronics will be not our lord or enemy but our friend!
