Long, long ago, when the world was young, the Sun, the Wind and the Moon were once invited to a dinner party by their friends.
Their mother, the Sky, waited alone for their return.
The Sun and the Wind were bad little boys.
They greedily ate a lot of food, and didn't think of their mother, who was left at home dying of hunger.
But good little Moon didn't forget her mother.
Of each dish that was put before her, she kept a little to take away to the mother.

" asked the mother of the Sun, the Moon and the Wind when they came back home late at night.

They took the roses with their hands, and there was chocolate on their hands and on their faces.
Then they went into the garden to play with the other children.
When Tom's mother saw them, she did not ask any questions.
She went to the dining - room and looked at the birthday cake.
She was very angry.
Tom's mother told Tom to go to bed, for he was a very naughty boy.
And she told my naughty little sister to go home.
Nancy was sick all night31.

Suddenly the little bird saw a treehouse.

" Please, " said the bird with one wing, " I'm all alone.

" said Mrs Rabbit.
" I can clean your house, "
said the bird.
" Come in, then, " said Mrs Rabbit.

warm in the treehouse.
How, every winter when the other birds fly away to

It ll be my Mummy's birthday!
She II be thirty - one.
But she looks twenty, she really does!
My Dad and I will get up early in the morning, when Mum is still asleep.
Well clean the house and go to the shop to buy presents for Mother.
I don't knoy what well buy.
We shall see.
But of course well buy flowers.
All women like flowers , you know!
I think well buy a beautiful blouse for her.
Sne likes to wear blouses.
We shall buy tasty things, too : sweets, chocolate, ice - cream, cookies, apples, oranges, bananas and what not!
When Mum gets up well congratulate her on her birthday.
Well give her the presents and sing the song : Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday , dear Mummy, Happy birthday to you!
Mother will invite her friends to her birthday party.
They will come in the evening at about seven o'clock.
Mum will put on her party dress.
Dad will be in his best too.
Ill put on my new white shirt and blue trousers.
Well have a good time!
Last year we had a lot of fun that day.
Father wanted to make a surprise for Mother - to cook a birthday cake.
When he put the cake on the table Mum asked : What is it , I wonder?

I cooked it for you.

There was a swiss girl heidi.
She lived in the mountains with her grandfather, because her parents died, when she was very little.
Her other relatives were vere busy and did't want to take her.
In summer the sun was hot and the sky was blue in the mountains, there were a lot of trees and flowers around and Heindi liked it.

Luckily, they found Nana.
Nana was perfect in every way.
She loved the children and looked after them carefully.
However, people stopped to stare when they saw the three children with their nanny.
You see, Nana was a large yellow dog that the Darlings met in the park.
Mr Darling worried that his neighbours might think she was strange, but Nana was the best nanny in London.
She kept the children safe and she made them very happy.
In fact, the Darling family was the happiest family in London until Peter Pan came.
The Darling children often dreamed of the magical land called the Neverland.
They saw the strange land with its lagoons, caves and forests.
The Neverland was different for each of the children.
John lived in a boat turned upside down on the sand.
Michael lived in a wigwam, while Wendy lived in a house made of leaves sewn together.
They all dreamed of Peter, however, especially Wendy.
She knew that Peter often came to the children's room at night while they were asleep.
When she told her mother about this, Mrs Darling did not believe her.

"Сидите смирно, сорванцы и не злите маму, " -
сказала Луна, прервав своих братьев.
"Не говорите так с мамой.

"Мама, здесь понемногу всего, что нам давали на ужине.
