Victoria station is always busy, and it is especially busy at Christmas time.
On every one of the seventeen platforms porters and passengers are walking or running.
Some passengers are in a hurry to catch a train that is nearly due out, while others are eating a bun or a sandwich or having a cup of coffee from the refreshment room before they start.
Many people have bought a paper or magazine from the bookstall to read on the journey.
The porters are carrying trunks and suitcases to the trains.
Usually they push the luggagre on their trucks.
