I think that watching TV is not popular with teenagers now.
In general, fewer people watch TV now than fifteen or twenty years ago.
The reason is obvious : we all have a lot of other entertainment options thanks to our smartphones, computers, laptops and tablets.
It means that we have access to the Internet, so we can watch online videos whenever and wherever we want to and we can choose what to watch.
I seldom watch TV, and it is mostly watching some live shows, such as major sporting or cultural events (if internet speeds are too slow).
So I can say I only watch TV about two or three hours a week.
The main disadvantage of television is that there are too many commercials.
They say that the number of ads on TV has been rising over the past ten years.
All these commercials are annoying when they interrupt your favourite show or a thriller you watch.
Another bad thing about TV is that people basically watch everything that is shown to them, and sometimes it is just lies or false information.
We can say that people get brainwashed.
That is why I don't like watching TV.
On the other hand, I don't think that someday all people will stop watching TV because TV is still changing.
