He wanted to get some life insurance.
The manager of the company wanted to ask him a couple of questions.
The young man agreed to answer them.
When asked about the health of his mother, the man said that she had had problems with her health all her life.
About his father he told that he had heart : problems.
The manager was sorry to hear that and asked at what age the man's parents had died.
He answered that they had died at an early age : mother at 35 and father at 40.
The manager sighed and refused to give the man any life insurance.
When the man was leaving the office, another * manager came up to him.
He advised the young man not to be so honest with people and use his imagination.
The young man went to another insurance company.
The manager immediately asked him about the health of his parents and about the age when they died.
But this time the young man was ready with an answer.
He told the manager that his mother had been very keen on sports.
She died when she was ninety because she fell off her bike.
And about the father he told that he had been ninety - nine.
He died while he was playing football.
He had missed the ball and was very upset about it.
The manager gave a big smile and agreed to give him some life insurance immediately.

It made the boy man return each day with his boat empty and he always went down to the shore to help the old man to carry the coiled lines or the gaff and harpoon and the mast with the sail wrapped around it.
The sail was patched with flour sacks and looked like the flag of defeat.
The old man had deep wrinkles in the back of his neck.
The brown spots of not dangerous tropical cancer covered his cheeks almost to the neck.
His hands had scars from the lines that he used when catching heavy fish Everything about him was old except his eyes and they were the same colour as the sea and were merry and undefeated.

Prodigy Child
Kevin was a prodigy child.
By the age of two he had learned to read and write.
Before his fifth birthday his parents had taught him to speak French and German and he played the piano rather well.
Kevin was a great lover of books and by the age of ten he had already read all the books in his father's library.
When all his friends were still in the second form, he had already left school.
After he had finished college, he went to University to become a microbiologist.
At sixteen he was ready for his final exams and soon became the youngest scientist in the history of his country.
He was happy because he hadn't wasted his time and got a good profession that he loved.
The only problem with Kevin was that he had never played football or basketball with his friends and had no idea of sports, games or children's parties : he hadn't had time for them.

few yards ahead of them there was no road as the bridge across the river was under repairs.
Peter
realised that the girl would run a terrible risk in case she tried to cross the bridge.
He cried out to her
to stop, but it was too late.
The girl had reached the bridge and at once Peter saw her lose balance
and fall into the water together with her bicycle.
When Peter rode up he saw the girl holding on to a
board standing in the water.
Without a moment's hesitation he jumped into the water as he wanted
to help the girl.
The current under the bridge was very strong and Peter had to swim against it.
At
last he swam up to the board and saw the girl's frightened eyes looking at him with hope.
"Can you
swim?
" asked Peter but the girl shook her head.
Peter ordered the girl to hold on to his neck and they both started for the bank.
It was very
difficult for Peter to swim with such a burden and at moments it seemed to him that he could not
stand the strain and that they both would be drowned.
When they reached the bank, Peter was so
tired that he could hardly breathe.
When he came to himself he saw the girl looking at him with
"You are a real hero", she said.
"You are the bravest boy I've ever met", and she smiled.
And
it was at that moment that Peter felt a great confidence in himself.
He was afraid of nothing now, he
was able to overcome any difficulty.

A woman wearing a white plastic suit and strange shoes got out of the car and asked him if he was all right?
Her name was Glynis , and she was a doctor.
James didn’t know what year it was , and when he heard it was the year 3000 he could hardly believe it.
He told Glynis he was from the 21 st century.
She thought perhaps he hurt him self , and asked him to come to her office for an examination.
Glynis found nothing wrong with him.
As she was examining James, he noticed that her skin and hair were completely different to his.
Hers was so shiny and perfect that it didn’t look real.
James explained what had happened to him , and he asked if any sort of time machine had been developed so that he could get home.
Glynis said there wasn’t one , but she suggested they look up his name on computer to see what information it might have on him.
They found that the computer only had information on him , up to the day he begun traveling through time.
Next to that day it said “presumed dead’.
He couldn’t understand it.
Did that mean he never made it back to the present ?
Would he always be traveling though time?
He asked Glynis if she could take him to his home town .
Perhaps he could find where Dr Applebuam used to live.

Glynis explained that this was how they got water from outside and changed it into clean , usable water.
James went close to the edge to look down into it.

But was too late .
The water was sucked out, and the force of the air around it pulled him inside.
When the bottom opened , he was pulled from the future word , underwater, to the old world where he used to live.
