Minsk is one of the most beautiful and ancient cities of Belarus.
Located in the center of the state, the city is its capital.
Was created by the city in 1067.
The name of the Minsk received from the name of the river.
And the river Menka got its name because residents of the one coast for their livelihoods produced exchange goods with settlers on the other side.
For its beauty and place in the sun town had to pass a long history of battles, revolts and wars.
But, despite the heavy history, in our days Minsk is growing and thriving.
And, in my opinion, the city deserves to be the capital of the Republic of Belarus.

cultural life of people and quests in our city is varied and interesting.
In
Minsk there are many theatres and cinemas, museums and concert halls : Yanka Kupala museum and
theatre, the Palace of Art, the Circus, the state Academic Opera theatre, the
Great Patriotic War Museum.
The Palace of Sports and there is also a large
sport stadium.
The heart of the city is Victory Square.
Ober the 3 years of
occupation the fascists destroyed the city but people didn’t surrender.
