Alexander Pushkin was born in Moscow on 6th June 1799.
From a young age his nurse taught him all about Russian folktales and traditions.
Alexander wasn't a good student, but he loved to read and spent many hours in his father's library.
He wrote his first poem at the age of 8 and published his first poem at 15.
His work was very different from the other writers at the time and this often got him into trouble with the tsar and the government.
For example, one of his most famous plays, Boris Godunov was only published years after he wrote it for political reasons.
After marrying a beautiful young girl called Natalya Goncharova in 1831 he continued to write.
Millions of people consider his novel, Eugeny Onegin, his poem, The Bronze Horseman and his drama, The Stone Guest, to be masterpieces1.
Alexander Pushkin was only 37 when he died.
He played a great part in The Golden Age of Russian Literature'.

Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland, was born on January 25, 1759 and lived to be 37.
He greatly enriched English literature with his unforgettable works.
Burns was born in the southwest lowland into a poor farmer’s family.
Young Robert got his education at the local school (where he was an excellent English scholar) and supplemented it by continuous reading.
Evenings would find him reading by candlelight or writing poems with his plough - hardened hands.
He wrote about what he knew intimately : the flowering fields and birds singing in the trees, the life of Scottish peasants and the cares and ecstasies of his own heart.
Perhaps his best poems are songs of love and nature and his moving often humorous narratives of the joys and mishaps of humble life.
At the age of twenty - seven Robert Burns published a volume of his poetry.
To his surprise it was a success and he went to Edinburgh to arrange for a second edition.
In Edinburgh Burns became a celebrated figure among his admiring readers.
But burns knew that his social success in Edinburgh wouldn’t last long and returned to the world that he knew so well.
He took the post of government inspector for the region around Dumfries and combinated his new duties with farming and writing poetry.
At Dumfries, married to the sweetheart of his youth Jean Armour, he spent the last years of his life.
He died at the early age of thirty - seven.
His best known songs date from these final years.

Over the next five years Walt Disney made some of his most popular films such as, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,
Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo and Bambi, He made 81 films in total while he was alive, Walt Disney died in 1966.
His work lives on today with each new generation enjoying his films and cartoons.

Kevin was a prodigy child.

When all his friends were still in the second form, he had already left school.
After he had finished college, he went to University to become a microbiologist.
At sixteen he was ready for his final exams and soon became the youngest scientist in the history of his country.
He was happy because he hadn't wasted his time and got a good profession that he loved.
The only problem with Kevin was that he had never played football or basketball with his friends and had no idea of sports, games or children's parties : he hadn't had time for them.
