I think, that lots of people learn languages, because they understand importance of communication and diplomacy for peaceful world.
As for me, I have chosen to do the English exam this year, because I really want to improve the level of my English.
I think, exam helped me very mich.
So, I watched the films in English, read English books and, of course, I worked with my English - teacher using textbooks.
In conclusion I want to say, that everybody must learn foreign languages for our successful and peaceful future.

I learn English because I understand that I can use it.
For example, if I go to England I’ll be able to speak English there.
If I go to the USA, I’ll speak English too.
English is used not only in England but also in other parts of the world.
I like to travel but it is difficult to visit countries, when you don’t know the language spoken there.
If I know the language of the country I am going to, it will be easy to travel there.
If I want to ask something, I can do it in English.
I like to read books and I like to read newspapers too.
If I know, for example, English, I’ll be able to read English newspapers and magazines.
Knowledge of foreign languages helps young people of different countries to understand each other, to develop friendship among them.
For example, if we have a foreign exhibition in Moscow and I know a foreign language, it is easy for me to visit this exhibition.
You can see a lot of advertisements, signboards and names in the street.
They are in foreign languages.
Very often they are in English.
If you know English well, you can read and understand them.
Now we buy many clothes from other countries.
If you know English well, you can read something about the size of this or that thing.
It is clear to you what it is made of.
There are a lot of films in foreign languages.
If you know them, you can understand films without any help.
There are international friendship camps in the world.
If you can speak foreign languages, it will be easy for you to visit such camps and speak with boys, girls, men and women who do not know Russian.
In short, I understand that I have to learn English properly and I try to do so.

The great German poet Goethe once said, “He, who knows no foreign language, does not know his own one”.
That is why in order to understand oneself and environment one has to study foreign languages.

I have chosen English as a foreign language, because it is the most widespread language on the Earth.
About one billion people speak or understand English.
English is the language of international communication in many areas of life : trade, tourism and sport.
The latest results of scientific investigations are also translated into English.
Many books of the best modern writers and poets are translated into English.
Sometimes, it is the only way to read and understand the latest works of foreign authors, Japanese or Turkish, for example.
Language is a means of communication.
We learn it in order to find new friends abroad and get acquainted with other cultures.
Some of my friends have already moved to the USA and Canada.
They often write me letters in English and I am glad that I can understand them without anybody's help.
This communication helps me to learn new English words and master my speaking skills.

So if you want to know what they are about, you should learn English.
In the conclusion I want to say, that I believe that learning English is very useful for me and everybody else.
I have been studying it for 8 years and I am going to improve it further.
