I first visited a library when I was six years old.
I went there with my older sister who had told me already what to expect.
I knew that I would see a lot of shelves with books there, so I wasn't surprised when we came to the library.
Now I go to the library if I need a book for my literature lessons and sometimes I choose something interesting to read for pleasure.
I like the atmosphere at the library because it is always quiet there and all the people are busy reading.
I also like the library because it is a place where we can study, meet people and attend cultural events.
But libraries are changing.
Traditionally they only lent printed books, and most of the libraries in my town still do it, but, as far as I know, they can also provide people with e - readers, lend e - books and films, teach classes and organise social events.
They also offer free wireless Internet access (Wi - Fi) which is great.
So I think libraries will not disappear in the nearest future.
