For the New Year feast my mum cooks special dishes.
Every year, on the 31st of December there are plenty of sweet cookies, some vegetable salads, a roasted chicken and a bottle of champagne on our table.
At midnight my dad fills everyone’s glasses with champagne and says the toast to welcome the coming year.
We also turn on the TV to hear the chimes of the Kremlin.
At the same time I know that somewhere in London my English penfriend listens to the chimes of famous Big Ben.
