Помогите пожалуйста с переводом 1)The school system in the UK is one of the most difficult to understand in the world.

Lots of changes have taken place in the last 50 years.

There are two types of schools in the UK : state schools where education is free and parents don't pay for their children and private schools where parents must pay for the education of their kids.

2) In the past only children from poor families got education at schools.

Children from rich families got education at home.

Boys from poor families could go to charity schools.

As it was public money, the schools for poor people were named public schools.

Later such schools became very popular, they gave good education and they turned into expensive private schools.

But the British still called them "public".

Private EducationSeven per cent of British Schoolchildren go to private schools?

Переведите пожалуста : Private Education

Seven per cent of British Schoolchildren go to private schools.

There are 3 levels of private schools : primary schools (age four to eight), preparatory schools (age eight to thirteen).

At the age of 13 children take an examination.

If they pass it, they go to public school, where they usually remain until they are 18.

Many preparatory and most public schools are boarding schools, the children live at school during the school terms.

But though these schools are called public, they are, in fact, private and it can be very expensive to send a child to such a school.

The most famous public schools have a long history and tradition.

It is often necessary to put a child’s name on a waiting list at birth to be sure he or she get a place.

Children of wealthy or aristocratic families often go to the same public school as their parents and their grandparents.

Eton is the best known of these schools.

It is situated in Eton, a town about 20 miles west of London, on the River Thames.

The school was founded in 1440 by King Henry 4, and some of the original buildings are still standing.

Many famous figures from British public life were educated at Eton.

Immediately opposite Eton, across the Thames, is Windsor, a town which is closely associated with Eton.

Windsor Castle, the largest castle in England and a favourite home of the Royal family, dominates the skyline the town.

Traditionally, public schools were always single - sex schools but now many of them are becoming co - educational, both boys and girls attend the school.

Eton, however, still remains a public school for boys only.

Private schools in the UK.

The school system in the Uk can proudly call itself one of the most complicated in European.

Not only it is not the same across the kind on but also the number of changes that have taken place in the last 50 years have made it equally confusing for a British personal and for a foreigner.

Let'a start from the beginning.

There are two types of schools in the Uk : state schools where education is free and private schools where you have to pay .

The only thing is that private schools in Britain are called.

Public.

Why? A long time ago when education was a privilege of the rich, the only schools where poor people could go were funded by charities.

As it was public money, the schools for the poor were called public schools.

Logical, isn't it?

However, in the course of history many public schools became very successful and turned into expensive private schools but conservative British continued to call them public schools.

Until recently public schools were either all - boys or all - girls.

Public schools can be full boarding, day and mixed.
