Во - первых сначала писать других людей, а потом себя.

Я бы поменял слово seldom на rarely.

My parents and I rarely spend time together.

А последнее предложение просто ужасное(только не обижайся)

Because my parents work a lot - измени все последнее предложение на это : ).
